Prior to joining Morris Visitor Publications, Buddy was vice president of marketing and e-commerce for Maui Divers. As co-founder of Ni Hao Media, Buddy's initiatives included distributing luxury content to international travelers of the United States through print and online channels while generating revenues through advertising and sponsorship programs.
A longtime food and travel writer, Simplicio brings humor and life to his stories, which have included travelogues that have chronicled visits to French Polynesia and the Society Islands to Vietnam and Montreal. In future issues, Simplicio will continue his colorful reports both “Inside” the dining and entertainment scene in Hawaii and “Outside” with his travel excursions beyond our Islands.

A 5th generation Hawaiian with roots in the Hawaiian music and entertainment industry, Leianne attended the University of Oregon before returning home to graduate from UH Manoa with a BA in Communications / Advertising. After the sale of The Honolulu Advertiser in 2010, Leianne worked for Pacific Business News as the Marketing/Circulation Director and then the Business / Audience Development Director. At Hagadone, she was VP of Sales & Marketing and oversaw all of Hagadone's sales divisions: commercial, publications, mailing, marketing, specialty, electronic media and digital printing.
Kristen is a relative newcomer to the industry having recently earned her master's degree in journalism from DePaul University in Chicago. She hopes to establish herself locally with her retail discoveries and adventurous buys in InsideOut. She also loves to travel, eat healthy and is a yoga enthusiast. She grew up in Hawaii.
Hawaii is not the antipode of Rizza's homestate of California, but it's very different in very many ways, and that's why she loves it. Rizza has been an editor at Where Hawaii since 2013, shortly after she relocated to Oahu. In her spare time she enjoys swimming and snacking. She now considers the island her home, and is delighted to be able to raise her fraternal twins here.
Summer is the newest member of the editorial team. After graduating with a BA in sociology from University of Hawaii-Manoa, the Pearl City native pursued a master's degree in writing and publishing at DePaul University. She was formerly with the University of Hawaii, John A. Burns School of Medicine/School of Nursing Grants Development Office where she was a grants and contracts specialist.
With more than 10 years of experience, Teri brings a keen sense of design to all projects. When not planted at her desk, she enjoys listening to indie music, reading, painting and anything other than staring at a computer screen.
